Occam has over 15 years experience in the specification, design and implementation of databases. Over this period we have developed the skills and expertise to be able to draw out from our clients the relevant business requirements needed to design databases that when constructed will allow  us to deliver a CRM strategy for now and into the future.

Through our years of experience Occam has learned to take into account that today’s database is required to be able to develop with tomorrow’s technology. This means designing with the consideration that there will be growth in the richness of the data and change in types of data available. Occam is aware that customers are quick to embrace new technologies and forms of communication and databases need to be designed with flexible open architecture that when these changes are required they are not prohibited by specification or cost. The design must take into account future requirements for web analytics, experiential and anecdotal information, online response, content management, and social networking.

Methodology

All Occam’s project managers are Prince 2 qualified and work to the proven Occam methodologies. Their job is to make sure that not only is the Occam team delivering within the timeframes and meeting the key milestones but that the client’s team is aware of time investments from them. This includes helping the team prepare for the change process.

The Project Manager is wholly responsible on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis for keeping all parties informed of what the current risks are to time and budget and where everyone is in the process.

Low Risk

Occam has successfully provided data solutions for in excess of 200 clients over the last 16 years. We currently host and manage 20 solutions that include; prospect, customer, B2B, transactional, international, experiential, anecdotal, and web analytical data.

As a business we have seen everything from the migration of huge multi-brand databases, as was the case with Fiat, to the development from scratch of a cutting edge database in the case of GlaxoSmithKline.

We have made a substantial investment in getting our processes and security independently verified (ISO 27001, and ISO 9001) so that we can confidently claim to be the lowest risk to our clients most precious asset, which is the database that holds the key to understanding  and communicating with its customers.

Our clients are our best advocates and we have a staggering retention record of 90%.
