Marketing Database

In recent years many companies have began to incorporate the use of a marketing database in the creation and management of new marketing plans and activities. Many businesses have experienced the benefits of using a well designed marketing database and often use specialist suppliers or partners to help them with the design creation and maintenance of their systems.

Detailed examination by management of the information contained in a good well designed marketing database can provide useful data necessary for informed decision making, on items like the identity of the most profitable customers and any common characteristics that they share with other potentially profitable customer groups. The use of this data allows a business to identify other related groups of clients to target for individual marketing activity, for example, targeted advertising, direct mail correspondence, email correspondence or other sales activities. It also allows a company to identify those that may be most susceptible to a particular marketing strategy.

Marketing Database Solutions from Occam

A marketing database is a first class tool for evaluating the impact of a particular marketing plan or strategy and can be used to ensure that a well developed marketing plan is deployed at the right time, to the right group and with the right results. A first class marketing database can greatly enhance the penetration of any marketing activity, providing a company with a much better understanding of its target market.
The analysis of information in a marketing database may allow a company to design a new and more effective marketing strategy or plan. An example of this would be: to maintain and increase consumer/customer loyalty. Groups of customers that have the potential for this would be identified from the marketing database and selected for special sales/marketing or other activities that would be designed to build and maintain future consumer/customer loyalty.
